How Many Of Each Kind?
Throughout this project I have learned how to use graphs and charts to better understand the content and question. Before this project I had always thought that graphs could only be used to show answers on. I have now learned that you can use the feasible region to find out the answer. I think I deserve a 17 out of 20. I feel like I tried really hard to understand as much of the problem as I could and did my best. I am still a bit confused on some parts of how to solve this problem, but I think that if I go over how to do the parts that I am confused about again, I will understand it completely. In this project I definitely used collaboration. Me group and I were constantly discussing what was going on, who was doing what, and explaining things to each other. I also used breaking the problem down. There were multiple steps that had to be done in order to solve this problem. I had to take each portion of the question and find out what it wanted me to do before I was able to solve it. For my third habit of a mathematician I used
The bakery needs to find out how many dozens of cookies they need to make so that they can make the most profit. One dozen plain cookies needs 1 lb. of dough and takes 0.1 hours to prep. One dozen frosted cookies need 0.7 lbs. of dough and 0.4 lbs. of icing and takes 0.15 hours of prep. They have only three restraints to making the cookies: they have 110 lbs of cookie dough and 32 lbs of icing, they have the oven space to make only 140 dozen cookies, and they only have 15 hours for cookie preparation. They know that they will sell all of the cookies.
For this problem I was having some trouble understanding what we had to do. I got some help for it and now I understand it a little better. There are still a few areas that I get a bit confused about but other than that I think that I understand most of the problem. First I
