This is a picture of the most popular boy bands in the world, One Direction! One Direction is my life, my voice, my reason to be. I love everything about them! They are amazingly talented singers, they are all adorable (Harry Styles is my favorite), they care so much about other people, and they use their fame and money to do good things for other people. For example, sometimes they don't make music videos so that they can take the money that they would have used on the music video and donate it to charities, if a fan tells them something is wrong or that their insecure they ask them if they are okay or what the problem is, and Zayn Malik bought his mom and two sisters a house because the one they were living in wasn't how he wanted them to be living. These boys are an inspiration to me and I just love them so much.
This quote speaks to me because the message is basically nobody's perfect and that you should learn to be yourself because being like everybody else is boring. To me this quote is saying who cares if you are quirky or funny or you don't dress like everyone else, it's good to be you no matter how ridiculous you are!
This Picture is a drawing by Tim Burton. Tim Burton is creative inspiration, even tough his work is dark and demented, that's one of the things I love about his work. He draws some of the most strange characters, and in my opinion I absolutely love it. His art is expressing his emotions that he can't necessarily communicate without the freedom to draw what he feels, and that is something that I do because his drawings, sculptures, and movies have taught me that it's good to let out your emotions in the form of art because it can create amazing things.
This quote is from the book To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. This quote meant a lot to me because to me it shows that some things don't last forever. Just because you have something at the moment doesn't mean that you shouldn't be grateful for it. Before you know it, it's going to be gone with no way of going back. You have to savor the moments you have with everything and everyone because one day hey might not care about you or they might never see you again. So the overall message for this quote to me is always be grateful for what you have because you never know when it's going to suddenly vanish right before your eyes.
This picture is special to me because only your best friend can always be there for you. Best friends are hard to find. You can have one hundred friends, but out of all of those people there is one best friend who we know we can count on to be there for you no matter what happens. I am extremely grateful to have already found my best friend Phoebe. She is the one person I can actually be myself around and won't judge me because we are both being our crazy weird selves. We call each other bffl's which means best friends for life, and we know that when we say for life we really mean for life.
I chose this picture because I think that music can always express what you feel. No matter what your emotion somehow you can always find a song that in a way explains what your going through or how you are feeling. I always think that music is a good escape from anything. For me music is relaxing and in a way frees me from what ever is going on around me.
I love Instagram! Instagram is an app that people from almost anywhere can post pictures with captions under the picture. I love this app because I can post pictures that I have taken or found and because it lets me stay connected to my friends that I don't usually get to see, like some of my old elementary and middle school friends have accounts and even though I haven't seen them in long while I can still see what they're up to, what they do, and keep in touch with them.
When this happened I was really little and I didn't realize what was going on. I'm class we watched videos and recordings and it really made me realize what happened and how traumatic this event was. It effected so many people and to know that hundreds of people died is very painful to think about and now I really understand how terrible this really was.
I chose this picture because I am really looking forward to fall also known as sweater weather! I love spring, summer, and winter as well because I like the balance and change every once in a while. I'm very exited to be able to be cozy when its cold and rainy outside and also be able to wear sweaters with leggings and Ugg boots with fuzzy socks!
This picture represents two things about me, I love to go to the beach and I love photography. I love the warm sand and the cool water with the cool breezes and the beautiful beach sunset at the end of the day. When ever I go to the beach I always get amazing pictures. This picture was from my last trip to the beach at my friends birthday party. The beach is always beautiful when I go and I love it!
I honestly don't know why these pictures stood out to me but they always do. I have seen these pictures a lot around the internet and they always grab my attention. They are adorable and there are so many ways that you can interpret every picture.
I found this picture when i was looking up juice and I was reading it the captions and I related it to life and how there could be one thing going on yet if there were ten different people looking at the situation they would probably see the situation ten different ways. I find this very interesting because this kind of thing happens every day for example when you are doing a group project, having a project conversation with your teachers, or even discussing a topic with your friends.
This is how I feel every time I get a lot (or any) homework...
I now completely understand that it's okay to like nerds, considering I love Marcel ( he's a marketing guy)
This picture stood out out to me because I have always loved Disney movies, especially tinker bell movies. I love the fact that even though I'm fourteen I can still continue to watch Disney movies and love them! It lets be feel like I'm a little kid again.
This picture stood out out to me because to me it is saying that you may not know what you need but you really need it. Just like stars need darkness to be able to shine, each person has their own figurative "darkness" that we can't live without.
I came across this picture when I was looking at song lyrics and I thought it was really cute and creative. I like how the sweater is sown into the paper and all of the little details. I love cozy sweaters and beanies with Ugg boots. I am absolutely ready for cold weather because that means being warm and comfortable in clothes and blankets. That also means pumpkin spice latte's and spice chi tea!
Recently I have been drawing a lot of dream catchers, so when I was looking at pictures of them I found this one and I was in love with it! I love how it is only pencil but that the shading makes the picture look so realistic, it really brings the picture to life and adds depth and detail. This drawing was so unique compared to all of the other ones because of the design, it combines five various sized dream catchers together and it has so many small yet realistic feathers on it.
I had no clue what to post about so I went to Google and searched "random"! I was looking at a ton of pictures and I came across this one. This really meant something to me because I absolutely hate it when people change who they are according to who they are with at the moment. For example, when someone's with a group of surfers and they act like they love surfing and that they've been surfing their whole life, or if someone's with their friend that likes a cretin band and then the next day they see her and they pretend that they're are obsessed with the band and that they know every detail about them. I know a few people like this and if they did anything like this in any way I personally wouldn't put up with that person. I don't think anyone should change who they are for anyone. I am always myself and all of my friends appreciate that because they know that I'm not just trying to impress them or be what they want me to be. They know that I'm being me and that is all that matters. I think that if anyone ever tells you to stop being yourself then that is their problem, not yours. Just like the picture says, never apologize for who you are, and that is why this stood out to me.
Lately I've been almost obsessing over Starbucks. I love the seasonal drinks and the original drinks. I always take every opportunity to get Starbucks!
I found this when I was looking up pictures of cats and it caught my attention because sometimes I feel like I want to hug every person in the whole world. A lot of the time people think that I'm this tough, heartless, girl with no emotions, when really I am nice to everyone who gets a chance to know me. I love making new friends and meeting new people.
I have no clue what I was searching for on Google, but I found this picture and I immediately loved it because it explains exactly how I feel whenever I see any old person by themselves. It always makes me want to go over and hang out with them. I have seen so many old people at the grocery store alone and it makes me really sad that they don't have anyone to go with them. In general I just love old people!
This week in class I read Night by Elie Wiesel. I chose this picture because it is a picture of a person trapped, and in the book Night I feel as if Eliezer feels trapped. I don't think anyone should ever say that they enjoyed reading this book because in order to say that they enjoyed it they would have to like the torture, pain, loss, starvation, death, and suffering that was told about in this book. To know that this was a real event and that someone actually lived through all of this is a depressing thought. I know that I am only reading about what happened and that I have the option to stop reading if it gets to emotional for me then I can put the book down or take a break from all of it. Eliezer had no option of whether he wanted this to happen to him or not, it was out of his control. He didn't have the option to take a break from the hardships, from the torture, from the pain. He went through so much suffering and had the huge responsibility of not only trying to keep himself alive and healthy, but also constantly trying to help and take care of his father when he is alive and even when he is on his death bed.I can't say that I enjoyed this book, but it was a very informative book that I won't forget reading about.
I have recently been feeling very creative and have been wanting to do some drawing and fun crafts. I'm in a really crafty mood. I especially like to draw dream catchers, eyes, faces, and even random doodles. I often look at other peoples drawings to get inspired and to practice my different techniques of doing different types of drawings. Eventually I will better my skills and be able to move on from that skill and learn new ones.
This week in class I am working on a mini project called The Day Project. In this project I have to create an art piece that shows how good can come from evil or how light can come from darkness. I think that light can come from darkness because with out darkness I wouldn't know light and with out darkness I couldn't see the stars shining or a candle flickering or the moons midnight glow. I think that most people don't realize that with out darkness they couldn't do or see a lot of good things. Light is great but the ability to know that darkness has its own greatness is a gift of it's own.
This is Rhett and Link. These guys make awesome and hilarious YouTube videos. They have a show that they call "Good Mythical Morning" It's a ten to twelve minute little show about random topics! This is one of my favorite things to watch (along with one direction interviews and music videos) They are funny, random, weird, and just overall fun to watch!
p.s. you should go to YouTube and search their channel (rhettandlink2) and check out a few of their videos!

I always have no idea about what to post about so i search random things. Today when I was searching random things I was really bored, so as any normal person would I searched "bored". I was going to look through all of the images for the search bored but instead there was a website that caught my attention just as i was about to click images. I went back to it, clicked on it, and read what the words under this red "Bored Button" and it said " I am bored. I'm so bored. I'm bored at school. I'm bored at work. I'm bored to tears. I'm bored to death. Do you find yourself saying any of the above? If so, you've reached the right website. Clicking the red button will instantly take you to one of hundreds of interactive websites specially selected to alleviate boredom. So go ahead and give it a try. Press the Bored Button and be bored no more." So I was curious and i pressed the button (not knowing what the heck I would get myself into). This button was not just any average coat button, or an old button you find between the couch cushions, or even the button to your favorite new sweater. This button had endless possibilities. I found my eyes locked on the screen for about an hour and a half. This button really does cure boredom. It has such a huge variety of random, fun, and addictive games to play simply by clicking a little red button.
This was a picture of what I was for Halloween this year! I love Halloween and I will honestly never be too old to dress up and get free candy with my friends. I have always loved Halloween and I always will. This year I got a ton of candy! At one of the houses on my street there's a really mean old lady and when me and my friends came to her door (not knowing it was her house otherwise we would have avoided it) and she started going off about how Halloween should only be for five year old's and that were were too old to trick or treat. By the end of her rant about being too old to trick or treat she ended up giving us massive hand fulls of candy which made no sense to me what so ever. That was my Halloween. The End
This Saturday I went over to my friend Natalie's house and we went to a park that was close to her house and we saw a little boy there through a gate. His name was Jack and he gave each of us a quarter and we gave him flowers and sang him a song. At first we were doing it just to be weird, but then later we became friends and now we are going to go see him next Saturday too! It was the best weekend ever and we got a good work out on the way back from the park too. (The walk to the park was downhill and so we had to walk uphill on the way back)
I think that this art piece is trying to communicate that in politics and government, they constantly lie to everyone and everyone believes it and doesn’t question it because they have told the same lie over and over again to the point that everyone believes that that is the truth. I think that this piece relates to the Holocaust because just like politics, Hitler knew that what he was saying was not the truth and that it was all lies, but he told the German people his lies so much that they eventually believed it and did whatever he told them to do. I think that, that is what the piece is trying to say.
I've been in love with this song for a while now and have been listening to this song a lot. I have realized that the lyrics are saying that you only feel the need or want of something when you let it go. I have so many songs that I love that I just can't choose a favorite, but the second I really listened to the lyrics and story behind the song I knew that this song was my number one for sure.
"Its' not a gun control problem; it's a cultural control problem."
This quote stood out to me because to me it is correct and makes sense. If there is a person who is angry and wants to kill a person it's not going to matter what weapon they use, as long as the outcome of the weapon is causing death the person would be okay with it. A gun is just a quicker way to kill someone, with the advantage of distance. During the times when guns were not yet invented did they have sword control, or cannon control? No! At the time those were the most dangerous objects and tons of people had them and would kill with them. If they had weaponry control during that time the people who really wanted or needed a weapon for either killing or self defense, they wouldn't say "oh well! I don't have a sword! It looks like I'm going to have to let my family die." They would grab any weapon like object and use that instead. Now in our time the gun is the most dangerous object, and if someone really had a problem with a person and didn't have a gun they would probably find an alternative. Everyone has heard of someone being stabbed to death, strangled, or beaten. But there is no knife control. There is no rule that says if you have a criminal record of strangling or beating someone to death that you have to have your hands and feet amputated. So why does there have to be gun control? I do agree that a random person should not be able to walk into any fire arms store and purchase a gun without a background check but, it should not be a banned from everyone. Some people have good or not harmful intentions. Just like the quote says, the guns are not the problem! The people are!

I hate when people try to purposefully act shy and quite around people. It's one thing to actually be shy, but it's another to be shy just to draw attention to yourself. I also hate when people try to change their opinions, clothing, attitude, and almost everything about them depending on who they are with. People should always be themselves and have their own choices and opinions with whoever they are with. People shouldn't depend on others for opinions and how they act.
“Some people become cops because they want to make the world a better place. Some people become vandals because they want to make the world a better looking place.” ~ Banksy
What I think this quote is saying is that people who are vandals don't always make what ever they paint on look bad. There are plenty of artist that make things look better. Banksy is a person that people would consider or call a vandal. He takes his art and displays it by spray painting it on buildings and other places that some people would consider vandalism. Banksy uses the form of graffiti to produce art that makes a statement, draws positive attention, and looks amazing.

At the field trip that I just went on, we went to Writerz Blok, Chicano park, and the Museum of Contemporary Art. At the museum every single one of the pieces was beautiful and thought provoking. For some reason I found this piece the most amusing. I don't know what drew me to it but as soon as i saw it I looked at it and analyzed it for probably about ten or more minutes. In this piece there were what look like stones or maybe candles with no wicks standing on top of upside down wine glasses. The colors and marbling of each stone was mixed with beautiful colors. The tallest stone was a orange color mixed with the most amazing reds and yellows and oranges and even a few streaks of lime green. The cups were somewhat plain and average. At first I just saw the cups as a normal stand for the stones but as I kept looking at it I saw the similarities that each one had and I realized that they were wine glasses. The simplicity of it was beautiful. This piece individually didn't have a description, unlike the rest which had a description, information, and the artists name right next to the piece. If I could I would have looked at this piece for a lot longer than I had gotten too. Overall I loved this piece the most.
During class we watched a news broadcast and were told to choose a topic that was discussed in the broadcast that stood out to us. I choose the story on Phil Hoffman. Phil Hoffman was an amazing actor who had a great life. He died from the cause of heroin overdose. This story stood out to me because he played the important role in the Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Mockingjay, which is my all time favorite book and movie series. Now that Phil is gone, in a completely unselfish way, I wonder what is going to happen with the movies? I don't mean for it to sound like I only care about the film, but he plays such a huge and important role that he has already been seen as, and I personally don't think that the character could be played better by any other actor. The Mockingjay movies won't be the same with out him.
For humanities extra credit I have been reading Divergent by Veronica Roth. Once I started reading it I couldn't and didn't want to stop. It has been amazing so far! I am about three quarters of the way done with the book and I plan on finishing it over the weekend. At first my thoughts about the book were that it was just a knock off of the hunger games and that it had the same story line, just switching the characters, names of separated land based on what each one provides, and locations. I was totally wrong! The books first two or three chapters started out with the almost same story line, but soon changed into a story of it's own. I love this book so far. I would recommend this to everyone who would want a good book to read.
“You may never know what results come of your actions, but if you do nothing, there will be no results.” - Mahatma Gandhi
I chose this quote because I absolutely agree with it. If you do anything, the actions will have an effect. The effect may be unknown, but they outcome can still be good or bad. On the other hand if you don't do anything at all, there will be no outcome, neither good nor bad. For example if you're making a batch of cookie dough when you bake it, the cookies can be either perfect or burnt. If you don't make any cookies at all, you won't have either one. I think the quote is saying to always give everything a try. You may not know the outcome but at least you will learn something out of it.
